Disney World's Musical Makeover: Say Goodbye to Aerosmith, Hello to the Muppets!
In a move that has left many fans curious and a little nostalgic, Disney World has begun its transformation of the iconic Rock 'N' Roller Coaster. The beloved Aerosmith-themed ride is making way for a new adventure, and the changes are already underway.
But here's where it gets interesting: Disney has started by quietly removing the Aerosmith branding from the ride's pre-show, a video that riders used to enjoy as they entered the loading area. This step marks the beginning of a major overhaul, as construction begins to bring the Muppets' world to life.
The Rock 'N' Roller Coaster, which first opened its doors in 1999, will continue to operate during the construction phase. However, the giant guitar that has become a symbol of the ride will undergo a makeover, donning Muppets artwork to align with the new theme.
And this is the part most people miss: the new ride, titled 'The Rock 'N' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets', is set to launch in Summer 2026. It will center around the fictional band 'The Electric Mayhem', with the energetic Animal taking center stage on the drums.
So, what do you think? Are you excited to see the Muppets take over, or is this a change that leaves you feeling a little bittersweet? Share your thoughts in the comments below! Disney World is certainly taking a bold step, and we'd love to hear your opinions on this musical makeover.
