The Toy Story Hotel at Shanghai Disneyland takes guests inside the world of Toy Story, with details and designs inspired by the beloved films. Take a full tour inside one of the rooms at the hotel.

Shanghai Disney Resort is home to two hotels on-site. You can choose to stay at the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel, with rooms themed to Mickey and friends, as well as Frozen. Or, you can stay at the Toy Story Hotel, which is themed after the beloved Pixar franchise. Our friends at Laughing Place had the chance to explore Toy Story Hotel, and we’re sharing a full room tour of their time at the immersive destination.

Shanghai Disneyland Toy Story Hotel

Located just a short walk from Shanghai Disneyland, the Toy Story Hotel first opened with Shanghai Disney Resort on June 16, 2016. When it opened, the Toy Story Hotel was the first to be themed fully to the franchise (a Toy Story Hotel would also later open at Tokyo Disney Resort). It’s similar in cost and theming to some of the Disney World Value Resort hotels, with oversized sculptures in teh courtyard and lots of immersive theming throughout. The hotel has two sections: the Sheriff Woody wing and the Buzz Lightyear wing.

Inside a Room at Toy Story Hotel

We’ll be taking you inside a Standard Room at the Toy Story Hotel, with photos from Jeremiah Good for Laughing Place. The hotel has a few different room types to choose from, including:

  • Toy Box Family Suite
  • Buzz Lightyear Themed Room
  • Woody and Jessie Room
  • Standard Room (available with Garden, Courtyard, or Park View)

The Standard Room has wallpaper themed to Andy’s bedroom, with plenty ofToy Storytouches throughout. Inside, you’ll find two double beds, either one Queen Bed or two Double Beds, accommodating up to two adults. The room is filled with fun pops of color and touches that make you feel like you’ve entered into the world of the movies. On the bed you’ll spot a runner with all your favorite characters, with patterns on the carpet representing both Buzz and Woody.

The theming for each of the rooms will depend on the type you choose. For the Woody and Jessie room, you’ll find more Western and cowboy detailing, while the Buzz room is home to space themes. The Toy Boy Family Suite will sleep up to four adults, with one King Bed, one Children’s Bed, and one Sofa Bed. The theming in this room is particularly fun, with blocks and toys making up the TV stand in the living room and plenty of other immersive details throughout.
